Nielsen Launches NielsenWire Blog

August 26, 2008 · Print This Article

Editor & Publisher is reporting that The Nielsen Co. has launched a new blog called NielsenWire. The blog provides data culled from its magazines and research units.

The new NielsenWire blog, accessed via the nielsen.com homepage, currently features, among other offerings, a special section devoted to the Games — from historical ratings info on the most-watched opening ceremonies of all instance to a feature on Chinese Olympians becoming product endorsers.

NielsenWire’s substance is supplemented by info culled from major newspapers, Web sites, and blogs.

It looks like it will be a very useful blog. It really helps sometimes
to have goods compiled into short soundbites. Sometimes you want to analyze the full report yourself but other times it’s helpful to have a short summary.

Examples of some of the posts on Nielsen Wire: a post about the top U.S. online search providers; a post about cable tv rankings and a blog post about Olympic commercials.
